Steamed Chicken Breast - Anna's Way
Although this is a very simple method more than a recipe, I love cooking chicken breast this way, and it's foolproof in a way that the chicken is guaranteed soft,juicy and succulent.I'm not sure if it's a "thing"but I start off pan frying with no oil then finish off steam/poaching it, it's just so tender and delicious.Use your favourite seasoning. I've used Mingle Seasoning - BBQ seasoning.An absolutely amazing low fat, tasty, easyway of cooking chicken with no added fat retaining all that juice and making a sauce to serve over the veg.It's not a gourmet meal but I promise you it's delicious and I cooked it with one hand
Ingredients
- 1 Chicken Breast
- Seasoning of Choice
- 1 Cup Chicken Stock
Instructions
- Season chicken well.
- Heat a non stick fry pan, add chicken when the pan is warm, sear both sides of chicken well, 1-2 mins per side
- Add 1 cup of chicken stock and pop a lid over the pan.
- Steam/poach until cooked through 5-8 mins, depending on the thickness of your chicken breast.
- I served this with simple steamed vegetables.
